Once a month, one of deacons and his wife (Ralph and Bev Bing) host a Bible study in their home. This is a rich tradition going back nearly 20 years! We always have a lot of great Bible students in attendance and the discussions (before, during and after) are as good as the presented lesson. If you’re in the Louisville area on the second Friday of the month (7:30), you are welcome to join us!

We want to offer a little special information about the study for 2016. This year we will be studying the second letter of Paul to Corinth. As we study 2nd Corinthians, we want to take the basic truths in that epistle and make them applicable to us. Our plan this year involves some of the following features:

Every 2nd Friday of the month (barring weather or unforeseen circumstances). So this year’s studies will be on: January 4th, February 12th, March 11th, April 8th, May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, August 12th, September 9th, October 14th, November 11th and December 9th – so feel free to mark your calendar!

Every 3rd study will be a singing, so we’ll be singing in March, June, September and December.

Our topic will be Second Corinthians, and we will have a recommended reading every month, describing what portion we intend to focus on (we will publish this is in the bulletin, which is available in digital format, if you don’t already receive it). We will also offer a few thought questions, too. We are also recommending that people use a free, open source commentary like Matthew Henry (or any other easily available commentary) to use as a sort of “book club” reading. We will discuss as a group anything we find interesting, important or invaluable that we discover in the text.

Our first month, we will also have a review of First Corinthians as well as the layout for our monthly readings for the rest of the year.

Please join us (in person or in spirit by keeping up through the website/bulletin). We are anticipating a great year of study together.
